How do I create a Spotwork Account?

How to download & create a profile to be shift ready!

1. Start by downloading the Spotwork app from the App Store or the Google Play store and signing up for an account
2. Open the Spotwork app and click sign up to get started
3. Enter your mobile number and enter the code that is sent to verify your account
4. Enable your location to find relevant shifts in your area
5. Once your account has been verified, click on the button at the bottom of the screen to start your profile creation
6. You will need to enter basic information about yourself, including your full name, date of birth, address and skills. Once you have entered your information, proceed to the next screen.
   1. Name: Enter your full legal name as it appears on your ID
   2. Date of birth
   3. Address: this will be used to find shifts in your area
   4. Biography: A few sentences about yourself and what makes you a great Spotter
   5. Referral code: add a referral code here if you have one
7. Where are you looking for work? Enter your city to find shifts in your city
8. Next, add a few of your interests! This will help match you with relevant opportunities. Once you've selected your interests, proceed to the next page to enter your payment information
9. Enter your payment information to get paid for shifts you complete
   
   1. Canada Only: enter your email for interac e-transfer
   2. USA Only: payment will be sent through our third party payment provider, Gig Wage. When you apply for your first shift you will be required to set up your Gig Wage account. Learn more about Gig Wage here.
10. Complete an ID Check by uploading front and back pictures of photo ID as well as a recent selfie. This will be verified by a member of our team before you can proceed to the next step
11. Upload a copy of your work eligibility document to verify you are able to legally work in Canada or the USA. This will be verified by a member of our team before you can apply for your first shift on the platform. Click next once completed.
12. On the final page of sign up, indicate how you heard about Spotwork, turn on notifications and complete the independent contractor agreement and hit Finish to complete your account creation!
13. To start working immediately, you can add equipment, work experience, and a resume to strengthen your profile. You can also complete your Spotwork Onboarding to be shift ready!
